UU Student Intern Assists PR Dept.

Urbana: Natalie White of West Liberty is fulfilling an intern program for Urbana University by donating her services to the CRSI Public Relations Department. She is in her senior year, working on a B.A. in Communication of Arts and expects to graduate early next year.
White spent several years selling advertising for the Urbana Daily Citizen before dedicating herself full-time to her college course work.

Prior to that she was a member of the United States Coast Guard stationed in Southwest Harbor, Maine as a Seaman E-3. After earning certification as a boat crew member, she performed navigation, chart plotting, search and rescue, and boat handling. She also became certified as a “communication watch-stander” and learned self-defense with and without a weapon.
In the Public Relations Department, White is helping out with photos, gathering information and lending a helping hand to the promotional aspects of the Bill Butler Champaign Open. She contributed to the Oakwood Meadows story on page one and she captured the photos below.
