Top milestones honored

CRSI is proud of its 1300 plus valued and dedicated employees. Each year those people who have worked at CRSI at least five years and every five year increment after that, are rewarded with a certificate of achievement and a gift card. For each five year increment, the amount of the gift card increases.

104 longevity honors are being awarded throughout CRSI for 2013.

Topping the list this year is CEO Than Johnson, celebrating thirty years.

In his presentation, acting Board President Ed Corwin noted the agency’s growth under Johnson’s tenure. “CRSI was incorporated in 1976…We began with 18 consumers and

15 employees. Today, CRSI has nearly 800 consumers and over 1300 employees.

Close behind Johnson in longevity with CRSI is Support Manager Tammy Gibson and Support Specialist Carol Brown receiving honors for twenty-five years.

Another notable achievement goes to Support Manager Monica Boerger who has been providing services for CRSI in ShelbyCo. for twenty years.

The longevity awards are just one way to say thank you to a dedicated, hard-working staff; all of whom are making a huge difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
