Summer intern gains knowledge of DD field
Troy: In her pursuit of working in the developmental disabilities (DD) field, Intern Jackie Lane spent time this summer in the Miami County region shadowing program specialists throughout Miami, Shelby and Darke counties.
“We opened up a better understanding of the field for her,” says Ashley Brocious, program administrator. “She learned about ISP’s (Individual Service Plans), consumer needs and life styles, medical diagnoses and medication requirements, the extensive training required to work in the field, and much more.”
Lane is a Rehabilitation Services major and will graduate from Wright State this year.
“Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the CRSI team… I am thankful to have worked alongside such great people. Your kindness and openness is much appreciated.”
