As announced by COO Marty Fagans, Stephen Barnes of Kettering has joined the CRSI staff as Program Services Administrator; a new position that focuses on expanding the Adult Day Support Services program currently operating in Champaign County, and developing customized programs in other counties served by CRSI. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida; and certificates of management, and service and support administration from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.

“I am excited to be a part of the (Adult) day program team,” says Barnes. “Day support programs are services where new and innovative ideas can be developed that can create wonderful opportunities for the individuals we serve. Along with the very nice facility here in Urbana, we want to have significant amount of time out in the community….My goal for training is to develop a strong training work group that continually looks at our training process so that staff is prepared, engaged and educated to perform their jobs well.”

Barnes speaks citing his experience in the field by also stating, “CRSI has had the reputation of being innovative and at the table when important issues arise around our industry. I believe that CRSI is positioned to thrive even with the challenges ahead because of the leadership team that has been assembled.  I am honored to be a part of CRSI.”
