Oakwood Meadows Gets Boost From Realtors

By LINDA D. SMITH, Public Relations Director

Champaign Residential Services,  Inc.

London:  The Oakwood Meadows group home in Madison County was chosen as a community service project for the 7th Annual REALTOR® Care Day in central Ohio on June 15.

The property, leased by CRSI, is home to twelve gentlemen receiving 24/7, ICF/DD (intermediate care facility/developmental disabilities) services. It is one of twelve not-for-profit locations in the Columbus area that received a $1000 upgrade to landscaping and outdoor living spaces.

Volunteers from the Madison County Realtor® Association  (MCRA) donated their time and talent to the local project.

“These community projects are something we do to give back”, said Phil Gilliam, vice president of the MCRA. “We chose Oakwood Meadows as our project so the residents could have a nice patio to enjoy and a nice place to come to.”

Volunteers included Realtors®, lenders, title and other affiliates.  The entire day was spent sprucing-up the yard,  adding new landscaping and hanging baskets, painting the patio fence and adding new patio furniture. Funds to purchase supplies for the Realtor® Care Project are donated to the Association.
