RE: Public Health Fair
Champaign Residential Services, Inc. (CRSI) is hosting its annual Health Fair on Wednesday, September 30 at 1150 Scioto Street (next to Trenor Motors). Over thirty vendors will be on hand to provide free screenings, information and services. The public is invited to stop in for an all-in-one health stop that includes blood pressure, sugar and pulse screenings by the Champaign Health District; Dermascan Skin Cancer screenings by Mary Rutan Hospital; flexibility and balance by Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation; and the Ident-A-Kid program by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department. In addition, spinal exams, vision, hearing, cholesterol and body fat screenings will also be offered as well as information on living wills, self defense, dialysis treatments, insurance, vitamins, exercise and much much more.
Seasonal flu shots are also being provided by Community Mercy Health Partners for a fee. There will be face-painting for the kids and door prizes awarded. The hours are 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For further information, contact Sandy Loffing, event chair, at 937-653-1309.
