Hannah presents at national convention
Miami FL. Consumer Advocate John Hannah and Advocacy Director Kathy Rader attended the annual Ancor Conference in May.
The American Network of Community Options and Resources is an industry trade organization representing over 800 private community providers with combined services for over 400,000 individuals with disabilities nationwide.
Hannah presented along with Tom Fish, Ph.D., Director of Social Work and Family Support Programs at the Ohio State University Nisonger Center. The topic was The Next Generation: Forging Relationships with Providers and Siblings which examined the aging of the I/DD population as well as their parents and siblings stepping into the role of guardians. The convention segment looked at how a sibling’s approach may be different than the parents and how providers can interact and engage siblings to benefit people served.
