Delong Elevated to President of CRSI

By LINDA D. SMITH, Public Relations Director
Champaign Residential Services,  Inc.

Than Johnson, CEO of Champaign Residential Services, Inc. (CRSI), is announcing the promotion of Scott DeLong to the newly created position of President. The position represents a restructuring within the agency that places DeLong in charge of all operations, reporting to Johnson. DeLong previously held the title of Chief Financial Officer and he continues to oversee all financial aspects of CRSI in his new role as President.

On the programming end, DeLong now manages a team of program administrators throughout all counties served by CRSI to improve and build upon the structure of providing services to individuals with disabilities. “We are an agency of great vision, moving forward, using new innovations and technology to better benefit the people we serve”, says DeLong. “I see my role as facilitator of the progressive visions held by CRSI.”

DeLong received his Bachelor of Science degree from Urbana University in 1994. He began working for CRSI in 1999 as a regional accountant and was later promoted to Controller. In 2007, DeLong was appointed Chief Financial Officer.

DeLong notes that his personal dedication to his profession and to the community is best demonstrated through his volunteerism. He is a member of the Urbana Lions Club and was elected to the Mechanicsburg Exempted Village School Board in 2010, currently serving as vice-president.  He also contributes his time on various OPRA (Ohio Provider Resource Association) committees as well as on the YMCA Board of Trustees.

He and his wife Abbey have three daughters Hanna, Addie and Mylee; and a son, Brodee. They reside in the Champaign County Mechanicsburg Exempted Village School District.
