Champaign Co.: Christmas at CRSI is a very special celebration for both consumers and staff, bringing happiness to all.

The celebration in Urbana starts in November when each individual’s name and “gift wish” are made into an ornament that is hung on a Christmas tree in the corporate office lobby. Employees then pick an ornament and purchase a gift for each individual.

CRSI provides a holiday meal and there are games and entertainment adding to the festivities. The Strive Choir practices their Christmas songs for weeks leading up to the event, as does the Strive Bell Choir, which performs Christmas music with different colored bells that blend into favorite medleys. The pride of each participating individual is obvious with every applause.

The Positive Culture group promoted an activity for staff and consumers to submit for what they are thankful at CRSI. The gratitude comments are made into wreaths and hang throughout the office.

The smiles and excitement are palpable in what is truly a favorite event that brings happiness not only to each consumer, but also to CRSI employees who are making wishes come true. Watching each individual unwrap their gift and the smile it brings is what makes Christmas so special at CRSI.
