Bowling: A popular sport for consumers
Champaign Co. consumers and support staff recently attended the third annual bowling party held at Goshen Lanes in Mechanicsburg. The bowling facility accommodates the group each year around the holidays with food and bowling discounts, equipment for people with disabilities, and reserved lanes, according to Terri Thompson, recreational coordinator.
The event is one of many holiday events paid for with funds from the Bill Butler Champaign Open (BBCO). Bowling and food for the consumers as well as other regional holiday parties for CRSI customers are paid from a separate BBCO account. CRSI pays for staff expenses separately.
