Ben-El provides a children’s assessment program to help understand behavioral and emotional difficulties. Many parents experience a range of thoughts and feelings when deciding to seek professional help for a child. Feelings of confusion, frustration and guilt are common. It is helpful to organize thoughts and concerns in writing ahead of time. Typically concerns reflect problems with behavioral, emotional, family, school, or social adjustment.

Parenting with Pride

Ben-El provides an education program for parents with children and adolescents. Each program consists of four sessions centered around: Child Development, Parenting Techniques, Coping Skills, Stress Management and Community Resources. In-home family coaching is available for those families who need additional support. This program is made possible by a grant from the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund. The program does not necessarily represent the views of the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund or the Trust Fund Board.

An early childhood program is provided for pre-school age children, promoting healthy social and emotional development. Services include social, emotional and developmental assessments, child observation, child consultation, classroom observation, classroom consultation, parent training, social skills training, discipline tips, consulting with community agencies, promoting healthy social and emotional development.
